Easy 3-Course Valentine's Day Meals for 2

Are you looking to romance your significant other with a wonderful Valentine’s Day feast? Whether you’re looking for a menu that’s traditional, vegetarian or a bit adventurous, there is a meal selection for you and your loved one.

 

For the Traditional Couple:

 

1. HEALTHY BLACKENED STEAK SALAD

This blackened steak salad is the perfect appetizer. Not only is it extraordinarily delicious – it’s light enough to eat before the entrée and still have room for dessert! 

 

2. MUSTARD, PEPPERCORN & HERB CRUSTED PRIME RIB

This mustard, peppercorn, & herb crusted prime rib can do no wrong. Even the pickiest of eaters will be completely satisfied while savoring every bit of this indulgent dish! Pair with Merlot or Cabernet Sauvignon to accentuate the rosemary and peppercorn flavors. 

 

3. THE BEST SKILLET BROWNIE

You two are traditional, but not so traditional that you aren’t looking for a decadent dessert to enjoy for Valentine’s Day! This rich and chocolatey skillet brownie is almost too easy to make, leaving your significant other in awe of your skills in the kitchen.  

 

 

For the Vegetarian Couple: 

 

1. THE BEST BUTTON MUSHROOM SAUTÉ RECIPE

Just because you’re vegetarian, doesn’t mean you want salads for every meal. This button mushroom sauté is absolutely heavenly.  Simple, yet rich with flavor, this dish is the perfect start to a romantic meal. *To make this dish vegan, remove butter and simply sauté in olive oil.

 

2. BLACK BEAN CAKES WITH TOMATO SALSA & AVOCADO SAUCE

These black bean cakes are packed with flavor, and the avocado sauce is simply divine. Best served fresh, the cakes are loaded with spices like cumin, chili powder and oregano. Pair with Sauvignon Blanc or Riesling to enhance these flavors. Be sure to make a little extra of the avocado sauce, because you two will definitely want more. (Yeah, it’s that good.)

Quick, captivating and easy, this pastry is the perfect ending to a wonderful date night. After sharing this sweet dessert, you’ll want nothing more than to enjoy each other’s company.

 

 

For the Adventurous Couple:

 

1. HOT PEPPER JELLY

If you both are ready to take on Hot Pepper Jelly together, you're ready for anything! This starter is spicy and fun – just like you two. Plus, this recipe can be made with about any hot pepper you choose. Pick a few of your favorite peppers, and turn your appetizer into a delicious smorgasbord of hand-crafted jellies.

 

2. MUSTARD-GLAZED LAMB CHOPS WITH GRILLED POTATOES AND VEGGIES

Because you are an adventurous soul, we knew you’d be up for a challenge when it comes to the entrée. Surprise your loved one with a meal they probably don’t enjoy very often. The hearty flavor of lamb deserves bold flavors to accompany it. Pair with Pinot Noir or Cabernet Sauvignon. Cheesecake is a dessert that most people shy away from making in their own kitchens. But you know the best cheesecake is made at home. Surprise your loved one with this homemade chocolate raspberry fry pan cheesecake. Not only is it relatively easy, it’s just as special as your love for one another. 

 

 

 

For the Chicken Loving Couple:

 

1. CREAMY FETA CHICKEN ARTICHOKE DIP

Now for all of you out there thinking, “All these red meat and vegetarian dishes just won’t do,” this selection is for you. Start off with a classic appetizer your significant just won’t get enough of! This dish combines the creamy feta artichoke dip you savor over at your favorite restaurant, with delicious shredded chicken and a Mediterranean-style spread. 

 

2. MOUTH WATERING GARLIC CHICKEN

This mouthwatering garlic chicken will save you plenty of time this Valentine’s Day. It’s an incredible homemade recipe, that doesn’t take hours in the kitchen to make. Pair with an excellent bottle of Chardonnay or Pinot Grigio. Prepare this dish, and you’ll have plenty of time for décor, lighting candles and preparing gifts.
