Dalgona Coffee

This fun breakfast drink recipe (Inspired by mykoreankitchen.com) originates from South Korea, getting its name from a popular toffee treat. Simple to make, this coffee is the perfect pick-me-up for a Monday morning or a nice treat when hosting a brunch with friends. This coffee found recent popularity on Tik-Tok with users creating different variations of the coffee, even using other ingredients like matcha!

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 Tbsp instant coffee
  • 1 Tbsp sugar
  • 1 Tbsp hot water
  • ¾ Cup milk, cold or warm (use almond milk for a dairy-free substitute!) 
  • 2 - 3 ice cubes (optional) 
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

DIRECTIONS

  1. Combine instant coffee, vanilla extract, sugar and hot water in a mixing bowl. Mix until smooth, then using a handheld mixer (like our Jet Mix Blender), wisk it on high speed until the coffee mixture forms a stiff peak (3 mins).
  2. Add the ice cubes in a mug then pour over the milk. Scoop out a large serving of whipped coffee and place on top. Mix if you want to!
