Homemade Dog Treats

We're celebrating National Mutt Day with something new this year! Its always special to bake for those you care about, pets included! Simple ingredients like natural peanut butter and milk make this recipe easy to whip up on a whim. We hope your furry friends enjoy these treats as much as ours do!

Cook Time: 20 Minutes
Yield: 18 Dog Biscuits
Difficulty: Easy

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 Cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 Tbsp baking powder
  • 1 Cup unsalted, natural peanut butter
  • 1 Cup skim milk

DIRECTIONS

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a cookie sheet or use our HD Classic Double Burner Griddle.
  2. Mix together flour and baking powder, set aside. In a medium-sized bowl, mix together peanut butter and milk.
  3. Slowly stir in flour mixture until it is well blended.
  4. Lightly flour surface for dough. Knead until smooth.
  5. With a cookie cutter or knife, cut out dogbone (or any preferred) shapes. Place 2" apart on cookie sheet or griddle
  6. Bake for 20 minutes or until lightly brown. Let cool before serving to furry friends!
