Let's Wok About It

Let's Wok About It

Posted by Swiss Diamond Chef Alice on 2nd Feb 2021

Everyone has the standard frying pan, small saucepan, and usually a stock pot. But what about the Wok? Originating in China over 200 years ago, the Wok is traditionally used for stir frying, boiling, and stewing. You can also use it as a steamer once it is covered. Woks are now used for a multitude of foods and are widely considered one of the most useful kitchen utensils.

Did you know? The sides of the wok are often used to keep food that is finished cooking warm, while the bottom is for food that needs more cooking time. Woks heat up quickly and hold heat, making the cook times on the food you are making shorter. They are perfect for making fried rice quickly, and large amounts at that. You can steam dumplings in a wok, make noodles, and stir fry veggies. It is perfect for one pot meals, and with Swiss Diamonds nonstick coating, cleaning your Wok is easier than easy.

We are listing our top three wok recipes that you NEED to try this week. These recipes are healthy, delicious, to feed the whole family.
