Something as simple as this potato peeler is a gift in any kitchen. Very sharp, light weight, dishwasher safe, and not expensive, is a must for any cook, amateur or professional. Excellent for carrots, sweet potatoes, apples, etc. Very comfortable to hold and works well on odd shaped produce. I purchased five as a Christmas stocking stuffer for my three adult children. I didn't like that the package had all kinds of warnings on it about chemicals used in manufacturing could cause all kinds of cancers and birth defects. I still have it in my utensil draw and will probably use it because I'm too old to worry about problems having children and I don't think it will cause cancer if used once in a while.

Simple design, great hand feel and peels with ease!

The peeler is cheaply made and is only average when using. It would have been cheaper and probably better quality to order from Walmart. Extremely disappointed to see the peeler was made in China. That was my last purchase from Swiss Diamond.

Upon seeing that the peeler was light as a feather, I wondered how good it could be - then I used it. Wow what a peeler. It's sharp and versatile. The only improvement I recommend is a blade guard. I fashioned a guard by slitting one side of a large plastic drinking straw that wraps around the blade. A good tool deserves care and protection.
