Celebrate Cinco De Mayo with a classic Carne Asada Taco dinner! This recipe is fairly easy with the most time consuming part being the marinating of the steak. Use the XD Nonstick grill pan for an easy and even cooking experience.

  • corn tortillas
  • radishes (sliced with mandolin)
  • Cotija cheese, for topping
  • cheddar cheese, for topping
  • shredded lettuce, for topping
  • 2 lbs flank steak
  • 2 limes, juiced
  • 2 Tbsp garlic powder
  • ½ Cup orange juice
  • 1 Cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • ¼ Cup vegetable oil
  • 2 Tbsp white vinegar

  1. Combine lime juice, garlic powder, orange juice, cilantro, salt, pepper, vegetable oil and vinegar in a gallon-sized ziplock bag. Seal tightly and squeeze to mix ingredients.
  2. Put entire steak into bag and reseal. Refrigerate for at least two hours but preferably overnight.
  3. Place meat in a Swiss Diamond Grill Pan on medium heat. Discard excess marinade. Cook for 7 - 10 minutes each side until cooked to preference. We usually do medium or medium rare.
  4. Once cooked, let rest for 10 minutes. Cut against grain and serve in tacos with desired toppings like cotija cheese, lettuce and fresh radishes.
