What Heat Settings Do You Recommend For Cooking?

Optimal Heat Usage with Swiss Diamond Cookware:

Given the exceptional heat conductivity of Swiss Diamond cookware, it's advisable to use lower heat settings than you might be accustomed to. We recommend avoiding the top 25 percent of your stove's heat settings; for instance, if your stove has settings from 1 to 10, never exceed 7.5. The ideal heat setting depends on the task: for frying and sautéing, use low to medium heat to bring the pan to temperature swiftly. Add seasoning and food when the pan is warm, avoiding overheating, which can be indicated by butter smoking and burning. Medium-high heat may be suitable for tasks like stir-frying or boiling pasta water. Experiment with your stove settings for desired effects, considering Swiss Diamond cookware's quick, even heating and excellent heat retention.

Preheating Recommendations:

Correct preheating can enhance performance. Preheat your pan for 2 to 3 minutes on medium heat before adding food, ensuring not to overheat and damage the nonstick coating. To test if the pan is ready, sprinkle a few drops of water; gentle sizzling indicates readiness, while strong sizzling calls for immediate heat reduction. Never preheat an empty pan for more than 5 minutes.

Oven Use Guidelines:

Swiss Diamond cookware and tempered glass lids are oven-safe up to 260°C (500°F). Ensure a minimum two-inch distance from heating coils, as the area close to the heating element can exceed the maximum temperature. Avoid broiler use with Swiss Diamond cookware.
