3 cups (720 ml) semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 can (14 oz/414 ml) sweetened condensed milk
1 1/2 tsp (7 ml) vanilla extract
1 pinch salt
1 cup (240 ml) chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
Line an 8-inch square baking dish with parchment paper, then butter both the parchment and the dish.
In your Swiss Diamond 2.2Qt (2.1L) XD Sauce Pan stir together the chocolate chips, condensed milk and, salt, continuing to cook over low heat while stirring until chocolate chips have melted.
Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the vanilla and nuts. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread into an even layer.
Let chill for approximately 2 hours or until set. Lift from the pan then cut into squares.
