1) You are cutting them the wrong way!
Most people cut an avocado vertically in half, creating that classic dilemma of having to scoop and remove the pit. Try cutting your avocado horizontally in half! This allows you to simply squeeze and “pop”! the pit comes right out.
2) One of our favorite hacks!
Avocados are a good substitute for butter and oil! Try using an avocado when making brownies! It is much healthier and still tastes delicious. Plus, you can barely tell it made with an Avocado, so it is a great alternative treat for kids.
3) Slice n' Shave!
Okay, we all love avocado toast. But it can get messy mashing the avocado up on the bread! Next time try just slicing or SHAVING the avocado to make a light and beautiful snack or breakfast.
4) It is not easy being green!
Do you ever buy a few avocados from the grocery store and wait around for them to become ripe? I know I have done this and have ended up just wasting avocados. A good trick to ripening avocados you want to use right away is to wrap it in foil (yes, like a baked potato!) Place it in the oven and bake it at 200 degrees Fahrenheit for 10 minutes.
